SAFEMATE foalalarm - or birth alarm - consists basically of a harness, a radio transmitter and a radio receiver. The full leather harness can be adjusted to fit all horses and ponies (special miniature harness is available), and allows the mare to move freely indoor and outdoors.
SAFEMATE foal alarm has been specifically designed for horses by horsebreeders who know what they need from such a product.
The 2009 model has some advanced features, but it is still very easy to use. When the leather harness is fitted to the mare, simply connect the enclosed battery, and the green indicator light will turn on to show the alarm is in adjustment mode. The sensitivity can now be adjusted easily with help from the red indicator light.
Alarm will be indicated with light on the transmitter, and both light and sound on the receiver. Battery is monitored and low battery will be indicated both on transmitter and receiver. The radio connection is monitored and the quality indicated with the signal indicator on the receiver.
