A very well-proven Danish quality product since 1993, where SAFEMATE was shown to the puplic at a regional Danish Warmblood Stallion Show at Tarupgaard, Odense 20. februar. The first person who I talked to was Finn Jensen from Studfarm Landlyst, who bought the alarm. I had to ask Finn to borrow the alarm to show, since I only had one!
Kraka Boesgaard, 1994
Despite the fact that I was studying for engineer and had no business experience, the alarm was very well received - probably due to my fathers reputation among other breeders, as well as an attractive price/quality relation.
In 1994 I worked as an engineer for a while, but gave it up to work with SAFEMATE. The alarm was shown at the annual DV stallion show in Herning in 1995, and several regional shows. A comparative article in a horse magazine between the 4 alarms in the market then (Wacht-O-Mat, Birth Alarm, OK Alarm and SAFEMATE) was really good for SAFEMATE (and sales).
Horse&Rider in Herning 2003
In the year 2000 the alarm had a major lift. Until then the harness had been made of webbing, but now it became a new full leather harness. The radio system was improved, from a range around 2-300m in free air it was now, with a better receiver, 5-600m.
Over the years I have always tried to improve the alarm, even with very small changes, but the 2001 design remained very much the same until the new 2008 model came.
A telephone moduke had been offered at all times, but around 2007-2008 the TD110 model came, making the programming much, much easier. The fact that everybody has their mobile nearby at any time has increased the sale of this extra equipment dramatically.
The 2008 model vas new electronics of own design, incorporating a new radio system with a range of more than 1000m. I have measured an okay signal at 1130m - from a beach to the window where I am sitting right now writing this. It also had a switch between winter (normal) and summer (less sensitive scale) mode. Te receiver had a built-in control circuit to connect a telephone module.
In 2009 the current model was launched at the Danish Warmblood stallion show in Herning. It is by far the most advanced alarm, but great effort has been put into designing it so easy to use as possible. Especially the new signal indicator is a great feature that You understand instinctively.
For owners of older models I can still supply extra harness (2000-2007 type), and a telephone module control circuit can be built into the receiver. Ofcourse all alarms can be serviced and repaired.
Maneger Esben Moeller, Blue Hors Studfarm;
"At Blue Hors we have now used SAFEMATE Foalalarm for app. 12 years. We are very pleased with the alarm and the service provided by SAFEMATE. It is natural for Blue Hors to test what is on the market, but in our experience is SAFEMATE the best and safest alarm. I can highly recommend SAFEMATE!"
